LA VAISSELLE EST FÊTE

JOINT EXHIBITION OF THE CERAMICS ASSOCIATION OF LA BORNE

Earthenware is a celebration. Did you know that? Or maybe you just forgot? It turns and dances in the potter’s hands.
It rises, hollows out, bends and grows wider like a dress dancing the waltz.
Georges PERROS, defined poetry as being of the earth.
That means that with clay, we are eating on poetry. In all senses of the word, earthenware is a celebration.
In our not so distant history it was displayed on our dressers, a forward-looking installation of small, humble tondos, owned by the poor.
These dream pieces for daily use make you tremble sometimes, or enfold you in a mysterious sense of delight.
This fine utilitarian ware provides as much life as some works of art. You are on the edge of an amazing world covered with stars. For evening celebration, don’t hesitate to lay up the table with small plates sitting on big plates. In our dreams, the tableware will be made by machine.
