Elisabeth Meunier
Discovering Japanese ceramics defined Élisabeth Meunier’s passion, and she travelled to Japan during her training at the ceramics workshop of the Bourges School of Fine Arts. She practiced raku, wood firing in an anagama kiln. She prefers sobriety, raw materials and minimalist decoration. She turns decorative and usual monochrome pieces on the wheel. These days, she is pursuing her research into matt and satin glazes, occasionally superimposing them on top of each other.
