TOUS ESSENTIELS

“Everyone is essential!” This title for the first exhibition of the year 2021 at the Contemporary Ceramics Centre of La Borne is a big declaration.

The pandemic and the share of restrictions it has brought in its wake have shown just how Art and Culture can only make sense when there is sharing, an encounter with the works. Both the public and many artists are suffering from being denied these precious moments that make us all human beings. Exhibitions are cancelled or postponed, potter’s markets forbidden, no openings, no more seminars etc.

These months of cultural scarcity have revealed as never before the extent to which artistic creativity is vital for everyone to thrive.

There can be no doubt about it. Everyone is essential, the members of the Ceramic Association of La Borne and their creative work which did not come to a halt during lockdown! They are all essential, the people who will come and have a look, an opinion, a feeling about! There can be no doubt about it. To when we can be together again!
